May COVID-19 Update

Minnesota Governor Walz announced that the stay-at-home order has been extended to May 18th. In the interest of keeping our staff, racers, and fans safe as well as complying with the order, Interstate Raceway will remain closed temporarily.

The following events have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled:

  • May 9-10: Bracket Weekend #1
  • May 16-17: Learn to Drift 101/102

The rest of the events on our 2020 calendar will still be held on-time as scheduled. We’re following the news and local government orders and will make an announcement if anything else is changed on our schedule. Thank you for the patience, and we wish you a safe and healthy springtime!

Some handy information from our track officials:

  • “Curbside delivery of time slips” is not allowed, per local orders. Hey, we asked!
  • Refusing to leave the garage at a reasonable hour because you were working on your vehicle is not quarantining… even if you do it for two weeks.
  • Winning by at least 6 feet isn’t the same thing as social distancing. Drifting more than 6 feet apart also doesn’t count.
  • Learning to drift makes for a very unsafe class in a Zoom call.
