May COVID-19 Update: Part 2

Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and government orders, Interstate Raceway will remain closed temporarily. The following event has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled:

  • May 23-24: Bracket Weekend #2

We’re working with local officials and law enforcement to keep our staff, racers, and spectators safe while keeping our operations legal. It’s a bummer that we have to cancel another event, and we hear you guys – we want to race too. But we want to do the best we can in these unprecedented times and will be taking it week-by-week as things happen.

Hopefully we will be back to racing and having fun soon. Until then, have a safe and healthy weekend, and we appreciate everyone’s patience!

Track Trivia: The drag strip remained open during bird flu, swine flu, and mad cow plagues. To this day, birds, pigs, and cows are banned from drag racing at Interstate Raceway. Per our track officials, “The ban on humans racing here is temporary. Our past pandemic plans have all involved animals, so this is new territory.”
