We’re getting everything prepped, cleaned, painted, and sorted for the first event of 2021, the return of the Drifting the Plains series. Everyone wants to forget the last year, and what better way to purge your memory banks than smooth slides and a face full of tire smoke. Take a deep breath, hold the gas pedal for five seconds, exhale. Ahhhh, that feels better.
New to drifting? Venturing into the sunlight for the first time in a year? We got you covered.
- Friday Setup and Practice: The gates will open at 8am for everyone. Spectators, the show starts at 12:30pm so you can grab brunch with Grandma first. She’ll remind you to bring a hoodie in case it gets chilly even with the beautiful weather forecast we have. We party on the track all afternoon until 7pm.
- Saturday Competition: The gates open at 8am again. The track goes hot when practice starts at 9am, followed by the tandem competition at 1pm. All our local drifters will be out and swinging for their bracket series competition, so the fights will be fierce and you don’t want to miss it. Competition will run until 7pm.
- Sunday Party Bash: The gates open at 8am as usual. The track goes hot at 9am. Drifters party all day until they run out of tires or something breaks and can’t be repaired. You want to go for a ride? They give rides. The weekend event ends at 5pm, and everyone packs up to go home and tell Grandma what a great time they had.
